For the pavilion, nature unfolds as two complementary states: the seamless exterior environment emphasised by the surrounding garden, alongside the ever-flowing air and visual connection. transparency was used as an instrument for liberating the pavilion, allowing natural phenomena to interfere with the interior conditions, which are also controlled by thermodynamic means.
The plastic tubes that cover the space allow the machine-produced smoke to flow freely through them, thus acquiring essential shading qualities. the pavilion can be seen as a device that defamiliarises and sets anew the relationship between nature and itself.
